Xavi Mascaró and Lluís Camps will compete in 2026 with the ARTIEM Camí de Cavalls 360° team, while Aaron Genestar and Joan Febrer postpone their participation until 2027 due to injury.
Menorca will be represented for the first time at the Absa Cape Epic, one of the most prestigious and demanding stage mountain bike races in the world. This will happen through a joint sporting project led by four riders from Menorca, with participation planned across two consecutive editions of the race.
In the 2026 edition, Xavi Mascaró and Lluís Camps will take the start line under the name ARTIEM Camí de Cavalls 360°. Aaron Genestar and Joan Febrer, meanwhile, have set their sights on the 2027 Cape Epic, as both are currently recovering from injuries.
The project has the support of ARTIEM Hotels for the 2026 edition and Camí de Cavalls 360° for both editions, an alliance that will bring the name of Menorca to one of the most recognized international showcases in MTB.

Tre race
The Cape Epic, held in South Africa from March 15 to 22, is considered an international benchmark in stage mountain biking. It brings together elite riders and high-level amateurs on a course that combines long distances, very demanding accumulated elevation gain, technical terrain, and extreme physical and mental conditions. Completing it represents a major challenge and, at the same time, a top-level sporting milestone for any rider.
Participating in a race of this nature requires months of specific preparation, a high level of commitment, and great endurance capacity. The difficulty of the race lies not only in the physical demands of each stage, but also in the need to maintain performance over several consecutive days, manage fatigue, recovery, and race strategy in a highly competitive environment.
